Guinness losing market share in its home country
Guinness is losing its appeal in Ireland, according to this Los Angeles Times article. More and more, the Irish are ordering other beers when they go out to pubs, including - Heaven forbid - “Boodweiser.”
The article notes that more Guinness beer is now sold in Nigeria than in Ireland.
Also, Ireland is probably the country you’d think is the biggest beer-drinking market in the world, but it’s not… that honor belongs to the Czech Republic.
We don’t sell Guinness here at Mid-South Alcoholic Supply, but we do have a large selection of Guinness signs, mirrors, and beer mugs.
