Wii beer pong game forced to change name
Video game maker JV Games has been forced to change the title of its upcoming Beer Pong game for the Wii video game system
. The game, which involves dropping ping pong balls in cups of beer and then ordering the opposing team to drink, was rated “T” for Teen by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. This cause a backlash, as parents, teachers, and even the Attorney General of Connecticut to conclude that the game encourages teens to drink.
The yet-to-be-released game has been named “Frat Party Games: Pong Toss,” with the reference to beer removed. When it hits the market, you can be sure Mid-South Alcoholic Supply will add a video game category to the store.
