The champagne chair contest
Thursday, January 3rd, 2008Every year, a design firm called Design within Reach holds a contest called The Champagne Chair Contest. It’s a contest in which competitors design a miniature chair using only the foil, label, cage and cork from no more than two Champagne bottles. The only other material allowed is glue, and the mini-chairs can measure no more than 4 inches in any dimension. Here are links to the 2007 winners and the 2008 winners. Winners are judged by a panel of industry experts. Deadline for entry for the 2009 contest is January 9.
So go out and buy a couple of bottles of champagne to harvest contest materials, and enjoy their contents in one of Mid-South Alcoholic Supply’s champagne flutes.
